3 1/2 more totes in production with fabric from Kelly, Kincumber NSW

After completing the first 3 bags in Red & White cotton ticking I reached for the next fabric on the stack of fabric provided by Kincumber Kelly and found this striking green turtle and hibiscus fabric.  Reaching a little further down I found some more green which will look gorgeous as the lining.

I had enough turtles to make 4 bags and lining to make 3 so I'll need to find some more lining in another fabric once they're ready to be sewn together.

All I've done so far is to ircon them all out, cut the fabric to size, sew up the seams and clip where I want to sew the box corners.  I still can't decide if I prefer this box corner method or the other (where you cut a square out first and sew across it like this:

I think potentially the cut-out-corner method is a little faster but I guess once I reach 50 totes made (100 pieces in total being the outside and lining per bag) I should have a clear favourite :)
