3 tote bags complete - fabric donated by Harlan House & Home and Kelly, Kincumber NSW

After sorting through the gorgeous array of fabrics delivered to me by Kelly, Kincumber NSW (how handy she lives 10 minutes away!) I decided to start this initiative off using this striking red & white cotton ticking with some of my own red poplin for the lining and black cotton webbing for the straps.

I've realised i"m going to need a LOT of black cotton webbing as each bag uses 63" of it to make the two straps.  I can of course make straps out of co-ordinating fabrics but this will slow down production.

I cut these bags at 17" x 20" with 32" straps (x2).  They sit perfectly over the shoulder and are easy to get your hand in and out.

Tell me what you think and comment below!!

What colour do you think our Fierce Female Farmers will love?

I've spotted a green fabric with large turtles on it for the next few bags....stay tuned, more to come!

Sew-long for now,

Gill
