HOW TO: Easy Baby Bibs for beginners (and sewing legends)!

Honey, where have all the bloody bibs gone?

I'm a mum of 2 so I know just how many bibs one baby can go through in a day, let alone an entire week.  Boys or girls, they're both messy!

Here's my little princess showing just how well she uses her bib, and sometimes her face, and arms, and hair, and floor.  You get the picture.

If you're anything like me, at home I'll use any old bib I can get my hands on, but when I'm out and about with bubs I do try and co-ordinate their bibs and outfits, well at least a little, if I remember :)

We use bibs several times a day for our gorgeous little ones.  Sometimes we need plain easy to wash, every day bibs, and sometimes we need something that little bit special.

I've compiled a list of my favourite patterns and tutorials for you to have a go at.

  • All Free Sewing is one of my favourite websites, they have a great list of Bibs and Burp Cloths here
  • Make It and Love It have: 18 DIY EASY and SIMPLE Baby Bib Tutorials
  • One for the droolers, teethers, and hipsters - the Bandana Bib, you'll find it here at Project Nursery
  • And my favourite things to make are reversible ANYTHINGS, here's a great tute on YouTube by Mommy Monroe

I made this reversible bandana bib tracing out another bandana bib I'd already bought.  How cute is it!
